A few months ago I decided to walk away from my PC computers and jump into the world of Apple. I have to say I have been very satisfied, but the one thing that always bothered me was the mighty mouse that came with my Apple MacBook, but that is no longer the case now that I have picked up a wireless Microsoft Arc mouse.
The mighty mouse that came with my Apple laptop always seem to lock up, and took a lot of cleaning to get the tack ball working. I wanted to replace it with the new generation wireless Apple mouse, but was never able to get to my local Apple store in time to pick one up before they sold out.
So a friend suggested I run over to Best Buy and pick up a wireless Micorsoft Arc mouse, and I have to say it is just an amazing mouse.
Apple users in particular should look at this mouse. It has typical left and right main buttons, plus a button on the left side, and a button under the roller. Clicking the roller brings up your dashboard, which will definitely have you using your dashboard more than ever. The extra buttons can be configured to do all sorts of things, and really opens up a lot of options.
I have never been too happy with wireless mouse devices in the past, but I have to say, this one is absolutely perfect, and you will be more than happy with the upgrade.

It was just a couple weeks ago that Apple released its most recent iPhone upgrade 3.1 , and today it released 3.1.2.
The new update will not add any new features to your phone, but it will break you jailbreak. It is mostly aimed at fixing some bugs in the most recent update like the following:
- Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep.
- Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart.
- Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming.

So after a long time resisting, I finally made the jump last week and purchased an Apple laptop. I got the macbook pro, and I have to say that I am completely in love with this Apple computer.
I was a little hesitant on joining the “mac nation” but all my fears turned out to be nothing, and making the transition from PC to Apple has been much smoother than I would have expected.
For me, the learning that was most crucial was learning how to control the computer with hand commands. Using a mouse with only one button was going to be something to overcome, but with a couple little tricks, you will be over that and ready to see just what these popular Apple computers are all about.
After 1 week, I can honestly say that this is my favorite computer I have ever owned. Now I understand why so many Apple users are so die hard about these machines. Everything seems a lot simpler, and more straight forward than on a PC computer.
Still a lot to learn about making the apple switch, but for now things could not be going any better.
Have any tips or tricks you want to share about navigating around on an Apple macbook?Feel free to share!

iPhone users out there are getting a very exciting present today… an upgrade to version 3.0. I have been waiting on this one, and as of around 1 PM EST you could get the new 3.0 version iPhone software.
The new software should address some of the major problems that iPhone users have had with the popular cell phones. Cut, Copy and Paste will now be available, and you will find that your landscape keypad will be working with programs that they previously did not, such as mail… which will be nice.
It will have MMS ability to send photos and videos, but that will not be available by AT&T until later in the summer.
There should also be come changes to its Bluetooth, and provides Bluetooth Stereo.
I have my iPhone sync’ing right now with the new iPhone version 3.0, and I will see what improvements really stand out for me. What about you? What do you think is the coolest thing with the new iPhone version 3. software?

As we learned last month, this is the last year that Apple will take part in the annual MacWorld Expo, and this year the company’s keynot adress was given by Phil Schiller, as Steve Jobs is sitting this one out for health reasons. But don’t fear, Jobs is not suffering from cancer, or any of the other rumored illness’s that have been floating around, he announced that he has been suffering from a hormone imbalance that has been robbing him of needed proteins, but is well on his way to a full recovery.
While this years address was less than overwhelming, we did get a couple of pieces of information on what the company has been up to:
- Schiller announced that iTunes has passed the 6 billion mark in total songs downloaded by its iTunes users. (this took the company about 5 and a half months, the same time it took it to move from 4 billion to 5 billion, so downloads are not accelerating as they once were)
- Schiller showed off Apple’s new 17 inch MacBook Pro. The new laptop is 6.6 pounds and a very thin .98 inches. It has a LED display that supports 1920×1200 pixel resolution.
- There is a new service called iTunes Plus that offers high-quality music free of digital-rights management
- iTunes now has over 10 million different tracks available for download
- 2008 saw the company sell 9.7 Macs, as Mac sales grew at twice the rate as the overall PC market
Not too much earth shattering announcements as Apple brings its relationship with MacWorld to a close this year.
